But of all these excellences,\u00a0<strong>there is one in particular that is right up my alley: the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pastacuomo.com\/en\/\">Pasta Cuomo<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And today, dear friends, I really want to tell you about this wonderful company and the very interesting activities it carries out.<\/p>\n<h3>The history of the Pasta Cuomo company<\/h3>\n<p>The foundation stone of the company was laid no less than 200 years ago,\u00a0<strong>in 1820, when Nicolino Cuomo opened his first pasta factory in the central Via Roma.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The business grew over time and successfully: in the early 1900s, the pasta factory employed as many as 70 Gragnano employees.<\/p>\n<p>In 1936, Alfonso and Giacomo headed the company, but the war in Africa forced them to put a stop to their activities and leave as soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>After a long business closure,\u00a0<strong>it is Mariano Cuomo who decides to breathe new life into that project<\/strong>\u00a0which has always been a family passion and identity. Mariano\u00a0<strong>also involves their children Amelia, Anna and Alfonso in this new adventure<\/strong>thus being able to count on varied know-how to restore strength to a 200-year-long dream.<\/p>\n<p>Today Pasta Cuomo is a company with a young soul,\u00a0<strong>produces durum wheat semolina pasta, relying on slow and careful processing<\/strong>following the secrets of the master pasta makers of the ancient Cuomo generations.<\/p>\n<h3>The activities of Pastificio Cuomo<\/h3>\n<p>Alongside the production of the delicious pasta, the new Cuomo generations have added a variety of activities that allow you to fully enter the authentic soul of a unique place, so that you can enjoy an experience that embraces all the senses.<\/p>\n<h3>Pasta Cuomo Tour &amp; Bistrot<\/h3>\n<p>It is very interesting\u00a0<strong>see up close where pasta is 'born<\/strong>how it is produced and with what machinery. It is a peculiar experience, a bit retro and a bit modern, but definitely recommended.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p>There are also outdoor tours to discover the ancient Valle dei Mulini (Valley of the Mills) or the ancestral pasta factory from the 1800s.<\/p>\n<p>And then, at the end of the tour,\u00a0<strong>enjoy a stop at the Pastificio Cuomo Bistrot<\/strong>where you can taste the delicious Cuomo pasta with local 0-kilometre products: fantastic!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<h3>Cookery schools and tastings<\/h3>\n<p>If you want to learn how to make pasta at home the old-fashioned way and cook like our grandmothers, don't miss out<strong>\u00a0the Fusilli Class and the Cooking Class. Two fun and very informative activities<\/strong>where you will be able to juggle in the kitchen under the guidance of experienced instructors.
