The Pasta Cuomo Museum
Our Museum was born just like this. We did not miss the opportunity to virtually recreate the ancient history of our family and the unique places that characterised it. Places that we still live in today.
Would you like to discover the history of the world's oldest pasta-making family? Here. Come and discover our 200-year history on-site or remotely.

The Museum was financed by the Bando invitalia Cultura Crea Priority Axis II - Activation of development potentials linked to Culture Action 3.A.1.a support measures for the creation of new enterprises.
The museum is housed in the former “Cuomo pasta factory”.
The premises occupied by the museum in the historic Via Roma 27 represent a historical, architectural and cultural heritage.
It has restored splendour to the artefacts of industrial archaeology and family history that the Cuomo family kept and which can still be seen today: semolina unloading funnels, wolf's mouths for aeration and the world's only example of a cylinder mill and vertical steam pasta factory.
At one time, this place housed the passageway for durum wheat, which was unloaded here, then through the unloading funnels in the floor was transferred to the underground cisterns to be rinsed, dried and finally transferred to the old Cuomo mill, located at the back of the building, to be milled.
It is the only place in Gragnano to have iron ceilings with vaults made entirely of bricks, while the floors are entirely of original basalt and the walls are made of tuffaceous stones from neighbouring quarries and bricks.
All the premises of the historic Pastificio Cuomo have been renovated and furnished in full respect of the architectural, urban and stylistic features originally conceived, a clear sign of attention to the ethical, aesthetic and cultural value that we have chosen to share for the enhancement of our territory.
