Table of Contents

There is a small town in the province of Naples, known throughout the world as “The City of Pasta”: Gragnano.

Excellence is at home hereeach place has its own history and tradition is the pride of an entire country. But of all these excellences, there is one in particular that is right up my alley: the Pasta Cuomo

And today, dear friends, I really want to tell you about this wonderful company and the very interesting activities it carries out.

The history of the Pasta Cuomo company

The foundation stone of the company was laid no less than 200 years ago, in 1820, when Nicolino Cuomo opened his first pasta factory in the central Via Roma.

The business grew over time and successfully: in the early 1900s, the pasta factory employed as many as 70 Gragnano employees.

In 1936, Alfonso and Giacomo headed the company, but the war in Africa forced them to put a stop to their activities and leave as soldiers.

After a long business closure, it is Mariano Cuomo who decides to breathe new life into that project which has always been a family passion and identity. Mariano also involves their children Amelia, Anna and Alfonso in this new adventurethus being able to count on varied know-how to restore strength to a 200-year-long dream.

Today Pasta Cuomo is a company with a young soul, produces durum wheat semolina pasta, relying on slow and careful processingfollowing the secrets of the master pasta makers of the ancient Cuomo generations.
